The trail passes through tea plantations,dense forests, ancient paths, mountain streams, waterfalls, peaks, bamboo groves, and stone inscriptions. The trail is named after the shape of its trail which resembles an eagle spreading its wings, covering a total distance of 12.9 kilometers. The primary challenge is the 1,000 steps that lead to Zanghai Temple. Along the way, you can see the azure Dragon Pond,rugged rocks, and millennium-old ginkgo trees. During the rainy season, you can see the flowing water pouring down from Lianzhu Cave and Fushui Rock, creating a beautiful scenery. Additionally, you can enjoy the unique scenery of Jianmen Odd Stones, Cluster of Moon Reflections under Bridge in Lake, Misty Lake Meadow in Rain, and Three Peaks with Green Pines, which are among the eighteen scenic spots of Yushan.
