-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">英國小城斯卡布羅不僅是美麗的海濱度假勝地，也是膾炙人口的民歌《斯卡布羅集市》所描繪的地方。幾乎人人都聽過這首歌，卻鮮少有人去過那里。2019年夏天，我們訪問英國時專程前往斯卡布羅，聆聽了一首風光和音樂完美結合的抒情曲。</h3></h3> <h3>奧斯卡金像獎電影的主題曲“斯卡布羅集市”一直是聽眾喜愛的經典之作，尤其歌詞中對愛情別開生面的理解和訴求，至今仍引起廣泛的解讀。西蒙和加芬克爾是這首歌的原唱。被推崇為流行樂壇上最偉大的二重唱組合，他們的和聲堪稱最美妙的天籟之音。純凈完美天衣無縫的合音，夢幻般的旋律及磁性的低吟淺唱，輕易將人們帶入超凡脫俗的意境之中。</h3> <h3>訪問斯卡布羅無疑是“小眾”之旅。這個只有六萬人口的小城，游人不多，更不見中國游客的蹤影。</h3> <h3>先說位于英國約克郡的斯卡布羅。中世紀的1253年經英皇亨利三世御準成為英國乃至歐洲各地商賈云集的定期貿易集市。每年的秋天開市45天。不僅商人，販夫走卒也聚集于此，熱鬧非凡。直到1788年，由于各地陸續涌現許多類似的集市，才開始走向蕭條。斯卡布羅美名不脛而走，各地爭相效仿。熟悉加拿大多倫多的朋友都知道那兒有個北約克和斯卡布羅市，當地人稱其為士嘉堡。</h3> <h3>場景拉回到中世紀。斯卡布羅是一片濱臨北海的平原，海浪富有節奏的拍擊著峭壁嶙峋的山崖，帶來大海清新又富含生命力的氣息，也帶來了滿載貨物的三桅船。遙遠的天際，長長的桅桿在視野里變得越來越清晰，船在蔚藍海面上緩緩而行，宛如翱翔碧空的鷹隼。</h3> <h3>帆船駛進小鎮古老的港口，滿載著沉甸甸木箱。那是香料的盛宴：荷蘭芹，鼠尾草，迷迭香和百里香。被陽光照射，與小鎮叢生的野花一起散發出芬芳的氣息，凜冽的秋風裹挾著濃郁的馨香，掠過一望無際的田野，掠過湍急的河流，掠過亙古嘆息的大海，直向遙遠天際而去，那馨香猶如對遠方情人的思念歷久彌新。</h3> <h3>在依山傍水的小城孕育著一座12世紀的古堡。斯卡布羅古堡坐落在山頂上近900多年了。多次重建，毀壞，再重建的坎坷經歷見證了斯卡布羅的歷史。從古代重要的通商港口，到抵御敵人的防御要塞，到囚禁犯人的監獄，到秘密的軍事監聽站，這座古老的城堡承載著沉重的歷史記憶。</h3> <h3>直到一戰期間，城堡仍在頑強地抵抗德國軍隊，最終變成現在滿目蒼夷的模樣。如今依然能夠看到當時留下的一些歷史痕跡。殘缺的監獄，傾倒的炮臺，仿佛歷史在眼前重演。</h3> <p style="font-family: -webkit-standard; white-space: normal; -webkit-tap-highlight-color: rgba(26, 26, 26, 0.301961); -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;">神秘的古堡、中世紀的建筑、安寧的街道和美麗的海岸線將溫馨的斯卡布羅裝點得別具魅力。</h3> <p>站在城堡之上居高臨下，小城盡收眼底。熙熙攘攘的市區，斯卡布羅南灣和北灣的美景一覽無遺。</p> <h3>“斯卡布羅集市”原是一首古老的蘇格蘭民謠。那個時代沒有版權，因此原歌曲的作者佚名。這樣的民謠由流浪藝人輾轉傳唱。日久天長，衍生出許多不同的歌詞版本。歌詞又根據演唱者的性別分為男版和女版。說到女版，相信聽眾第一個想到的就是月光女神莎拉?布萊曼。其實當西蒙和加芬克爾在1966年推出這首歌的時候，莎拉還是個8歲的小女孩。</h3> <h3>歌詞大意是男女戀人之間相互調侃，要求對方完成一些不可能的任務之后才答應共結連理。今天我們聽到的版本，相互詰問的情節已經支離破碎，倒像是昔日情人之間的溫情私語。主人公也被泛化，可以是任何一位平凡的你我。這是古老的民謠被賦予的新意所在，也是它深受人們喜愛的原因。</h3> <h3>“斯卡布羅集市｜頌歌”是各種版本中的經典之作。它是由“斯卡布羅集市”和“山麓”兩首歌合二為一改編而成，共分五段，每段四句唱詞。</h3> <h3>在主歌第二，三和四段中，西蒙和加芬克尓巧妙地插進一個唱著另外一套副歌詞的聲音，讓副歌詞的主人公以戰士的身份講述戰爭的苦難與無奈，從而在主歌愛情基調上暗示了戰爭對愛情的摧殘，形成強烈的對照。歌曲襯托當時年青一代的反戰情緒，使感情表達更加飽滿更具感染力。副歌歌詞是西蒙的杰作，而旋律則出自加芬克爾之手。</h3> <h3>在每一段歌詞中，插入了一句看似毫不相干的唱詞：“荷蘭芹，鼠尾草，迷迭草和百里香”。這四種植物分別代表著愛情的甜蜜、力量、忠誠和勇氣。正是這句唱詞的反復出現，懷舊氣氛被充分渲染，使聽眾對斯卡布羅自然純樸的美麗風光充滿了無限的向往。</h3> <p>第一段歌詞將一個愛情故事平鋪直敘地展開。</p> <h3><p style="white-space: normal;
